Are you a budding filmmaker with a passion for storytelling? Are you eager to showcase your unique talent with your local community? Look no further!
The Magnolia Short Film Contest is a contest exclusively for residents of Pitt County and surrounding areas. Whether you’re a seasoned filmmaker or just starting out, this contest is your chance to shine a spotlight on the stories, landscapes, and characters that make our community special.
This is how it works;
Submission Guidelines: Films must be a minimum of 90 seconds and a maximum of 10 minutes in length and must focus on themes relevant to the community. Whether it’s a documentary, narrative, animation, all types of genres and styles are welcome. For the full guidelines click here.
Judging Criteria: Entries will be judged based on creativity, storytelling, and craftsmanship.
Prizes: Winners will receive a cash prize and awards, and the film will be shown in a public screening on July 13 and at the 2024 Mackie’s.
Submission Deadline is June 12th, 11pm EST.
