Ashka Lewis is originally from Whiteville, NC. She earned a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Sociology from East Carolina University in 2005, and a Master’s in Professional Counseling with an Emphasis on Marriage and Family from Grand Canyon University in 2020.  Ashka is a Facility Program Manager at Eastern Carolina Vocational Center and has been employed with the company for over 15 years.  She began her acting career in 2016. Acting credits include: Ain’t Misbehavin’ musical (Coco/Ensemble), Hairspray the musical (Dynamite #2), Purlie (Lutiebelle Gussie Mae Jenkins), Motherhood Out Loud (Mother B/Great Granddaughter),Talking With…(Scraps), several 10-Minute Play Contests(2017- Alex, Spectre, Narrator, 2019- Middle Child, Avery, Mary-beth, 2020-Marion and Lena), A Funny Little Thing Called Love (Compere, Chrystal, and Dana) and Between Riverside and Crazy (Director) at Magnolia Arts Center, Who Are You Listening To? (Laila) at KCC, Home (Woman/Myrna), and An Evening with William Shakespeare- Lunatics and Lovers (Juliet/Mrs. Page/Olivia) at Whirligig Stage. Ashka has been on the MAC board since 2020.
